Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the Mishoon building program through a traditional burning and dugout process. The event was led by Ohketeau’s Artist in Residence Andre StrongBearHeart Gaines, with the support of many in the Tribal community. This was the first Nipmuc mishoon in hundreds of years, and the process took a little over a week to burn and finish - the project culminated with a successful launch and paddle on Ashfield Lake.
